Kyperská organizace SEAL CYPRUS pořádala v týdnu 18. – 26.3. tréninkový kurz pro pracovníky s mládeží, který se zabýval tématem mediální gramotnosti. Kurz probíhal v přímořském městě Larnaka. Za CEFIG sezúčastnil Ondřej Podlešák, aby načerpal inspiraci a nové poznatky pro tréninkový kurz o médií, který bude CEFIG pořádat v dubnu.
Kurzu se zúčastnilo 20 účastníků z 10 států Evropské Unie. Kypr, Polsko, Estonsko, Litva, Česko, Slovensko, Španělsko, Řecko, Portugalsko a Itálie. Každá země vyslala 2 zástupce, kteří se mediální tematikou zabývají a zároveň pracují s mládeží. Cílem kurzu byla jednak kulturní výměna informací a rozdílů mezi jednotlivými státy, druhak se konaly workshopy psychologů a dalších odborníků na tuto problematiku.
Celý kurz se nesl v duchu neformálního vzdělávání, neboť byl podpořen z fondu Erasmus+ v rámci dotací EU pro vzdělávání. Účastníci tak nejen poslouchali, ale aktivně se zapojovali do vytváření obsahu kurzu. Ondra přispěl do programu přednáškou o finanční gramotnosti, na kterou se CEFIG specializuje.

The organisation SEAL CYPRUS hosted a training course for youthworkers with the topic of media literacy. The Course happened in beautiful city of Larnaka between 18th and 26th March. The CEFIG organisation was represented by Ondrej Podlesak, who came in order to gain inspiration and new information for training course about media, which will be hosted by CEFIG in April.
The course gathered 20 participants from 10 countries from EU: Cyprus, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Czech republic, Slovakia, Spain, Greece, Portugal and Italy. Each country sent two representatives who are interested in media topic and actively work with youngsters. The main objective of the training was for the youthworkers to better understand the topic of the project and cultural differences between countries.
The sessions included topics of social media, body image, cyberbullying, self-esteem, anxiety ressistance, coping with stress, eating disorders, working with asylum seekers. During the training, there has also been a visit from Commisioner for Volunteering and NGO Yianniis Yiannakis, who talked about legislative changes and visions of cypriotic NGOs. Participants also visited a Youth Information Centre in Larnaka.
Sessions were held by proffessional trainers and psychologists who specialise in this topic. Participants were not only listening, but actively creating the content, because the programm was honoring the principles of non-formal education. It was funded by Erasmus+ Programme. During the training, Ondra contributed to the programme with his knowledge of financial education and consumtion preferences, which is CEFIG’s speciality.
